Noise pollution, also known as environmental noise or sound pollution, is the propagation of noise with harmful impact on the activity of human or animal life. The source of outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines, transport and propagation systems. Some of the main sources of noise in residential areas include loud music, transportation noise, lawn care maintenance or nearby construction.

Within this article we are going to brief about the noise pollution caused by J.K. Paper Mill. The machineries of any industry produce large decibels of sound, causing noise pollution. The maximum continuous hearing capacity of human ear is 80 db (for 8 hours) but unfortunately the sound produced by the industry exceeds this limit. But also at the same time the industry takes equally stern steps to suppress its effects.

The industry has been using shock absorbers, silencers and acoustics for minimising the emission of sound to larger extent. This has been very effective and has established a great difference between J.K. Paper Mill and other paper industries since many years.
